Winter

In winter, the Ballons des Vosges Park is covered in a white coat and turns into a vast and enjoyable area for lovers of winter sports. You can try lots of snow sports, such as Nordic skiing, luge, snowshoes or cross-country skiing. During these activities or when relaxing, take the time to admire the gentle snow-covered rises and falls of the Vosges mountains and contemplate its white forests and frozen lakes.

Summer

In summer, the Vosges Regional Park invites you to take part in outdoor activities. Near the Hotel Les Buttes in Ventron, you will have the choice between a wide range of activities. You can stroll along the hiking paths to appreciate the landscapes, the forests, the villages and the park’s rich cultural heritage. You can also devote yourself to mountain biking on the hundreds of marked routes or try trail biking, especially in the Gérardmer resort which offers a dozen trails. The park can also be explored using any of number of different modes of transport, including on horseback or even in a paraglider, a hang-glider or a hot air balloon to get a real bird’s eye view. The many streams, rivers and lakes will delight those who enjoy water sports and fishing.
